How member information is handled.
Information collected
To create and review a member profile, The Skating Factory collects first and last name, date of birth, email and phone contact. Athlete profiles also include discipline and category; athletes aged 16 or 17 must provide essential parent or legal guardian details. A profile photo is optional.
Purpose and access
This information is used to verify an application, manage access, organise activities and communicate with members. It is available to administrators and only to coaches who have been given the relevant permission.
Storage and security
Profiles are held in the site's private member database only while access or the working relationship requires them. Profile photos are stored privately and are delivered only after a server-side authorisation check. Access changes are recorded for security and accountability.
Sign-in choices
Athletes receive a personal site access code after approval. They may also choose Sign in with ChatGPT as a secondary method; when used, the verified ChatGPT email is matched to the email on the approved athlete profile. Coaches and administrators use ChatGPT sign-in with the exact email authorised by an administrator.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct or delete your profile, or ask how your information is used, by writing to hello@theskatingfactory.com. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.
Service providers
The site uses hosting and storage providers to run the protected service. Member information is not sold and is not published as a public directory.
